Well, two days late but it arrived. Thank f**k for that. And like the photo says, I did a bit of a happy dance this morning as I called my RE and he said we made it in under the wire. So with that, the booty injections begin tonight, delestrogen every three days, ultrasound on the 28th, daily progesterones added to the mix on the 29th, and the frozen embryo transfer (FET) on the 3rd of February.
Husband didn’t know quite how to react to wife going “WOO HOO!” then flushing, but hey, it’s a big damn deal for me after the shitty way I’d been feeling, assuming another cycle would be canceled.
So I threw on my workout clothes, including my snazzy new adidas sportsbra and sneakers, comfy Gap pants and my favorite asskicking Bitch I’m Madonna tank top and flew out the door to the gym to dance it out in Zumba class…
But my parade was instantly rained on as my plantar fasciitis flared up big time and kicked my ass. It’s been a wee bit painful but until today, ’twas nothing to keep me out of my 4 days/week gym regimen. But today’s teacher decided we were going to do all high impact at mock speed, and offered no low-impact alternatives like the other teacher, and there was no way I’d be able to do it without worsening my injury, so I had to walk out after just 15 minutes. Ugh. I went in feeling bawdy and powerful and walked out defeated in a new way. I suppose when you’ve not had your period since summer, you forget
And then – of course! – as soon as I reached my car, the cramps kicked in.
So yeah, happy dance is over, and as I finish up this post we’ve done the first booty shot completely pain-free (my hubby has become quite a pro at this), and as this 2nd attempt finally kicks off after a missed cycle in December and almost 5 months without a period, now the real deep breathing begins.
