Christmas Eve in Pictures: A Bit of Australia for My Husband

We ain’t got no rules – we opened presents this morning!!!

We decided we’d do one gift a piece and for my hubby I surprised him with his favorite Mark Fitz piece, Irish Eye. It was quite an adventure getting it shipped from Australia (the artist now lives in Ireland but was so gracious and managed to get it rush shipped via DHL to arrive this week, YAY!) but it was so worth it!  You can see the street art version in Melbourne that originally caught his eye, then my husband all emo excited holding it (it’s an original, painted on scrap wood), the dude with the beard is the artist (from his Instagram page) and the other fella is obviously my cheeky hubby, grinning in front of the same spot in St Kilda where he hails from during his last 10 days in Melbourne before immigrating here in May 2014 🙂

How sweet, I’m sure it means more to him because of how hard you worked to make this happen.
