What I Collect

Hmm, well I’m not one of those “collectors,” per se, but I do love to bring home seashells and cool rocks from my/our travels. It’s a fun (and super inexpensive) way to remember a place, and the seashells are all mixed together in a shallow wooden bowl on our coffee table. The rock collecting started when Dan and I got married, and each place we go visit, we bring back a rock and write on it the place and the date, from our honeymoon to beach trips to our recent trip to Paris.  And for our agate collecting in January for my birthday, we have a whole mason jar full of those little pretties 🙂

Beyond that there are no knick-knack shelves, no china cabinets or  things that have a theme (well, besides my Tamara Adams art and my WMF kitchen tools) in my house. I just live too simply to gather a bunch of stuff, and clutter just makes me want to…de-clutter! 🙂
