first daffodils! (and rhubarb peeking out in the background)
crocuses showing up in surprise spots in the garden 🙂
favorite part of the start of the planting season? first inklings of future veggies! (peas here)
When you put a raised bed over where an old stump once was, the mushrooms that love the stump remnants don’t care what’s in the way – looks like a monster pushed up through the dirt eh?!
blossoms from the dwarf peach tree are so purty…this year my resolution is to actually thin them no matter how pretty they are, so i can get more full-grown peaches!
Spoiled myself at Garden Fever and bought plant markers to differentiate the many types of greens, carrots, onions, potatoes, etc. that I’m planting. 79 cents a piece ain’t bad 🙂
And when I wasn’t in the garden, while it was raining, I was eating well! Breakfast at A N D Cafe, this time with my friend Susan, never disappoints! (source)
And of course, Sunday brekkie in my favorite cafe, Woodlawn Coffee and Pastry. Oops, also had dinner there with my friend Michelle giving her a preview of our wedding dinner locale! (source)
Yes there was a lot of eating out this past weekend. Here, the Cuban Bowl at Laughing Planet on Mississippi with my friend (and wedding officiant!) Amy was my vegan choice (how can you say no to plaintains, sweet potatoes, and rice & beans??). Delish! (source)
Finished off a busy weekend blobbin’ in front of the TV and watched Nebraska on Amazon (this new Smart TV is trouble!). Unassuming, great performances (including SNL alum Will Forte!), some hilarious moments, and killer cinematography. Check it out. (source)
