Oz Escape XVIII: Finally, Some Marsupials!

No wild sightings in the heart of the city, shockingly, so before our departure back over the deep blue sea, our friend Elizabeth kidnapped me for a girls’ day to check out Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary an hour or so outside of the city where I could see kangaroos, koalas, dingoes, pelicans, platypus, goanas, emus, pygmy possums, ibis, parrots, pythons, tasmanian devils and much more in a fairly natural habitat that focuses conservation activities to prevent further species extinction (so while it wasn’t the wild, it was not like going to a regular zoo). Yay!

PS – My camera’s battery died shortly into our visit, so these were all I snapped on it. Fortunately E had her iPhone and so I’ll post more pix later!
