Tom was an avid family historian. He spent countless hours researching the family tree. He made a family trip back to Iowa and took Linda’s mother along to meet and interview many relatives from the Godfrey line. He probably knew more of the relatives than the rest of us.
Tom was an excellent hydrologist.
When we worked together in Portland , Tom and I got 4 hours off work one day to give blood, so we took the opportunity to play golf. It just so happened that the temperature in Portland that day was 105 degrees. On the back nine I almost passed out and had to sit in the shade for awhile, but the heat didn’t seem to phase Tom.
